Malola (Lakshmi) Nrusimha is on the Vedadri Hill and one among the Nine Nrusimha Kshetrams. The holy place is at a distance of 2 km from Upper Ahobilam and also known as Markonda Lakshmi Kshetram. Every time, the festival idol will bring from the Ahobil Mutt. Pilgrims may go to Ugrastambam, where Nrusimha killed Hiranyakasipa. Local legend says that one young devotee named Srinivasa Acharya residing at Melkote Village of Pandavapura Taluk in Mandya District of Karnataka State. One day Lakshmi Nrusimha instructed in his dream to go to Ahobilam and spend his remaining life at Ahobilam duly taking Monasticism.
Srinivasa Acharya sought for the advice of Varada Vishnu Varnacharya, his mentor. He has advised to implement the orders of the Lord without any delay.
Srinivasa Acharya took the blessings of his Guru and arrived to Ahobilam, wherein he was received by Mukundayya, the local head of Ahobilam. Lakshmi Nrusimha appeared in the form of Monk to Srinivasa Acharya and given Monastory by establishing Ahobila Mutt. Srinivasa Acharya was named as Sadaagopa Jeeyar. Sadaagopa Jeeyar was instructed to visit every house along with the festival idol of Nrusimha for spreading of Vaishnavism.
Sadagopa Jeeyar confused with the festival idol. He performed penance and sought for clarification on festival idol to be taken along with him. Surprisingly, the Festival Idol of Malola Nrusimha flayed from temple to the hands of Sadagopa Jeeyar. The idol wearing shoes informed the readiness of God to the campaign. Jeeyar of Ahobilam Mutt even today campaign with Malola Nrusimha in the Village for spreading of Vaishnavism.
To calm down Ugra Nrusimha after rupture and killing of Hiranyakasipa, Maha Lakshmi borne as Chenchu Lakshmi and calm down Nrusimha as Malola (calmly). She got married Malola Nrusimha. Nrusimha give darshan along with Maha Lakshmi in the Temple. Malola Nrusimha is the head of Venus Planet. Venus Planet gives good relationships, property, good health and beautiful body.
