Mathura is the district headquarters in the state of Uttar Pradesh and is located on the banks of the Yamuna River. It is considered to be the heart of Indian culture. Since Lord Krishna was born in Mathura and Mathura is also called as ‘Krishna Janma Bhoomi’.Harati is offered to River Yamuna every evening on the banks of the river at Vishrama Ghat.
