Nanda Prayag at a distance of 21 Km from Karna Prayag. Karnaprayag is one of five places where the joining of rivers occurs. 

Nandaprayag is a nagar panchayat in Chamoli district next to Karna Prayaaag. Nandaprayag is one of the Panch Prayag of Alaknanda River, and the confluence place of Alaknanda with Mandakini River. The Mandakini River meets Alaknanda at Nandaprayag. It is 4455 feet high above sea level. King Nanda performed Yagna in this place and the confluence is in his name. Sage Kanva made penance here and Dusyantha got married Sakunthala here. Nanda Prayag famous for sightseeing, spirituality, devotion and beautiful landscapes with religious significance. Nandaprayag is also popular for many adventurous activities for trekking, sightseeing and Rock climbing. Since there are no temples, Pilgrims may visit the Sangam and proceed to Vishnu Prayag.
